AN UNAPOLOGETICALLY ME MOVEMENT

SHUT THE CHOP is a monthly gathering where a salon becomes a sanctuary, a workspace becomes a dance floor, and a room transforms into a living, breathing creative ecosystem.

Each month, we clear out the chairs, dim the lights, open the doors, and invite only the bold, the curious, and the like-minded to step inside.

This is a space for entrepreneurs, artists, and creators who move through the world with intention. A space where conversation flows as easily as music, where ideas spark between strangers, and where community feels less like a concept and more like a pulse.

Our series launched the first event during Black History Month, debuting with a night themed "Standing with firm and power", featuring voices like Fleur East and visual artist Derek Gnonlonfoun. Each gathering since follows a new theme, an invitation to explore different ways of living, creating, and showing up in the world.

This month’s theme, “Life is for the Living,” calls us to embrace the present moment: to connect, to feel, to create, to breathe, to move, and to celebrate the magic of being alive, without waiting for the “right” time.

Expect intimate showcases, film, dialogue, music, and a room filled with energy that stays with you long after. Expect a curated guest list and a shared intention: to show up as your full self.
